Introductions
Mika Ninagawa est l’une des photographes les plus connues et les plus prolifiques du Japon. Ses sujets comprennent des fleurs, des poissons rouges et des portraits de stars issues de la culture pop japonaise. Son esthétique est fantastique, colorée et riche en tonalité. Les spectaculaires photos en technicolor de Ninagawa sont devenues sa marque de fabrique internationale. Elle présente chacune de ses images avec une vitalité à couper le souffle. Brillamment illuminées, elles ressortent comme d’aveuglants bijoux. Les intenses couleurs néon amplifient sa palette habituelle de rose, vert, bleu et orange.

Mika Ninagawa a plublié plus de trente-cinq livres de photographie, collaboré avec les musiciennes Björk et Alicia Keys et fait ses débuts en tant que réalisatrice en 2007 avec le long-métrage Sakuran. Sa rétrospective Mika Ninagawa : Fleurs terrestres, couleurs célestes à la Galerie d’art municipale de l’Opéra de Tokyo en 2010 fut l’exposition la plus visitée jamais tenue au Japon. L’œuvre de Ninagawa se retrouve dans de nombreux musées et collections privées.
